So far 11 people have been killed since the collapse of the building
under construction in Dharwad. According to the report, 60 people have
been rescued.The incident took place in Kureeshwar Nagar, 400 km away
from Bangalore. The five-storey building was going on for two years. At
the time when the incident took place, work was being done on the third
floor.
150 people were present at the time of the accident
60 shops were opened on the first two floors. About 150 people were
present in these shops. Though the NDRF and SDRF teams reached the spot
immediately. Chief Minister Kumar Swamy had instructed Chief Secretary
to start relief work immediately after the incident. The treatment of
the injured was continued in the civil hospital.
